Raising Rainbows Scholarship

The Center School’s Raising Rainbows scholarship provides tuition support for Center School students who are transgender, gender nonconforming, gender creative, or who have family members who are.

The scholarship was inspired by a beautiful, brave Center School transgender student who transitioned when she was in kindergarten. In addition the initiators of this fund recognize the wonderful Lori Duron and the loving story of her gender creative son as added inspiration.

Contributions to this fund are fully tax deductible and support students’ academic and social journey at The Center School which celebrates each child’s unique path in the world.

The Ari Brown-Weeks Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was established to honor Ari Brown-Weeks, a beloved GCS alum, who was killed in Iraq while serving in the military. The award is used to enable a family to take advantage of our program, who otherwise could not afford the Center School.

The Chip/Geno Scholarship Fund and Jay Lord Scholarship Fund

These scholarship funds were created to honor two Center School founders, Chip Wood and Jay Lord. The interest earned from these funds is applied to current year financial aid awards.
