Join us for a fun-filled day of activities and experiences for the whole family! Since we cannot celebrate our community in person this year, we are offering a series of 25-minute Zoom-based events over the course of the day. You are welcome to attend one, three, or even all of the events! Each will have its own Zoom link that you will receive one day prior to the event. Here's what we have planned for you:
8:30-8:55: Welcome overview of the School with Director of Admissions and Outreach, Lauren Obregón, and the Head of School, Charlie Spencer
9:00-9:25: Learn to make a folded book for future stories, journals, and drawings with Primes Yellow (K/1) teacher Amy Wright. Materials to have at home: Paper, tape (all ages)
9:30-9:55: Go on an interactive Zoom scavenger hunt in your home with Mups (2nd/3rd) teachers Sara Johnson and Rebecca Golden (geared toward 1st-4th grades). No materials needed
**10:00-10:25: Very special musical performance from In the Nick of Time! (fun for the whole family!)**
10:30-10:55: Lego challenges with our Uppers 8 (8th) teacher Kathleen (whole family!). Materials needed: Legos
**11:00-11:25: Learn all about animals with a virtual animal encounter from Rae Griffiths of Teaching Creatures (all ages - family fun!)**
11:30-12:00: Early Childhood Caregiver Cafe with Primes Yellow (K/1) teacher Sandy Browne and Primes Red (Preschool) teacher Kiah Tinkham. Learn about our Early Education program, and connect and discuss topics related to parenting and caring for young children in 2020
12:00-12:20: Lunchtime storytime with Primes Blue (Toddler) teachers Katie Moffett and Elendë Connor (Geared toward toddler-1st Grade)
12:30-12:55: Learn to draw Zentangles with Uppers 6/7 (6th and 7th) teacher Chris Sanborn (geared toward 4th grade and up). Materials needed: Paper, marker or pencil or pen
1:00-1:25: Play an interactive game of Werewolf (formerly known as “Mafia”) with Middles (4th and 5th) teachers Emily Cross and Kim Hake (geared toward 3rd-6th grade)
1:30-1:55: Learn all about our admissions process from our Director of Admissions and Outreach, Lauren Obregón
