Our First Conversation Coffee as Interim Co-Heads
Dear Center School Friends,
Last month, the Parent Union Committee (PUC) invited Amanda and I to our first Conversation Coffee as Interim Co-Heads of School, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us. Sitting together with a small group of parents, sharing questions, ideas, and reflections, reminded us of one of the things that makes our school truly special: the strength of our community and the value of listening deeply to one another.
As we continue to step into our roles as co-heads, we are committed to fostering open communication and collaboration with our families. These gatherings are a space for us to connect, answer questions, and think together about the best ways to support our students and school. It felt energizing and productive to hear your thoughts and to share some of the processes and practices that guide our work, like our tuition assistance program, which we were glad to explain in greater detail.
If you weren’t able to attend, we’ve included a link to the notes from the conversation here, including an overview of the questions asked and the key topics we covered. We look forward to continuing this series and encourage everyone to join us in the future.
Thank you for your partnership in making the Center School a place where children—and our entire community—can thrive.
Warmly,
Lauren Obregón
Interim Co-Head of School
