You’ve blown us away!
Dear Center School Community,
There are moments when words feel too small, and this is one of them. Since the launch of the Save the Center School campaign, you have shown us what a true community looks like, and we are in awe.
Not only have you entrusted us with your children, but you have done so much more. You volunteered your time, made soups and sweets, and showed up. You inspired young entrepreneurs to donate the proceeds from their sales. You gathered your neighbors and brought them through our doors. You decorated our building with donated greenery and filled it with warmth. You helped children create beautiful crafts. You shared our story with friends and family near and far. You walked beside us at the March for the Food Bank. You bought nearly 100 more boxes of citrus than last year and donated 420 pounds to the Food Bank. You collected 564 pounds of food for Franklin County Community Meals. You turned care into action, again and again.
And it is working.
Because of you, $695,077 has been raised, well over halfway to our goal.
Because of you, the school’s outstanding Line of Credit has been fully paid off.
Because of you, we now have just over 5 months of mortgage payments safely in the bank.
Just last week alone, your momentum was extraordinary:
You raised $70,000 on Giving Tuesday, filled Soup Night at Dreamhouse with laughter and connection, and made our first-ever Makers Market a joyful, bustling success.
This is not just fundraising. This is love in action. This is belief made visible. This is a community refusing to let something precious disappear.
Please know this: your generosity is felt every single day in our classrooms, in our hallways, and in the way our children move through the world feeling safe, held, and hopeful. We are deeply humbled by you.
From the bottom of our hearts: thank you for standing with us, walking beside us, and carrying this school forward with such fierce, beautiful care.
With gratitude beyond words,
Lauren Obregón, Interim Co-Head of School
Amanda Richard, Interim Co-Head of School
